Our reach into the northern suburbs extended with the opening of our Claremont Plaza practice in 2013. We are proudly locally owned and operated by the Optometrists who work in our practices, including Lee Baumwol and Bev Reid. We love being independent
Total Eyecare is an amalgamation of several independent practices. Since our beginnings in 1946, independence has been valued by all our owner Optometrists as it allows us to make the best clinical decisions for you. Independence allows us to choose our lens, contact lens and frame suppliers without restriction. Having access to all the best quality products for our patients is why we remain proudly independent. As fierce Tasmanians, we also contribute to our local community by employing locals and supporting our local economy.

Bev Reid
Bev Reid graduated in Optometry at the University of New South Wales. She moved to Devonport on graduating and worked extensively on the North West
Lee Baumwol
Lee Baumwol studied optometry in Melbourne and began practising in Perth in 1999. In 2004 he moved to Hobart and he joined the Total Eyecare
Rebecca Youd
Rebecca grew up in Devonport before studying Optometry in Brisbane. She then returned to Tasmania, working across the greater Hobart region. Rebecca enjoys building relationships
