Mei arrived in Australia to study optometry after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto. Mei studied her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Melbourne finishing in 2021. She started working in a private practice in regional Victoria before moving down to Hobart and joining the Total Eyecare team in 2023.
Mei has a keen interest in contact lenses which began at the age of 9 when she lost her glasses out on the ice rink while competing at a figure skating competition. In her spare time, she loves going for runs on the trails nearby or getting into a new book.
